Staff told commissioners the People's City Mission had submitted updated permit documentation that had not yet been filed with building and safety but was sufficiently advanced to create exclusive use for the property, so staff changed its recommendation from denial to approval for that parcel. The board approved partial exemptions first, then voted to accept the People's City Mission parcel as exempt, and then approved the remaining recommended denials by roll call.
The board described the three action items as those carried forward from the May 19 public hearing and treated the item as an action (not a new hearing); no members of the public spoke during the Board of Equalization public-comment period.
