Merrimac commission accepts assistive-listening devices and $1,000 donation; routine motions approved unanimously

At its Sept. 4 meeting the Merrimac Commission on Disability accepted two assistive-listening devices pledged by Cable Access: one to be permanently installed at Sargent Hall and a second portable unit to be used at locations around town.
The commission also accepted a $1,000 donation from Mobility and More of Newburyport. Robert Hart moved to accept the donation; Margaret Sullivan seconded and members voted unanimously to accept the gift.
Earlier in the meeting Brienne Walsh moved to accept the Sept. 4 agenda (seconded by Margaret Sullivan) and the commission unanimously approved. Margaret Sullivan moved to accept the July 31, 2024 minutes with changes (seconded by Brienne Walsh) and the members unanimously approved those minutes. At 7:15 p.m., Robert Hart moved to adjourn (seconded by Margaret Sullivan) and the meeting was adjourned by unanimous vote.
