The Stillwater Township Board of Education approved a package of personnel actions on Dec. 15, 2025, including pay-rate updates, hires and leaves.
As part of the motions responding to New Jersey’s minimum wage changes, the board approved a revised contract rate for a part-time custodian at $15.92 per hour and updated substitute daily rates, effective Jan. 1, 2026: Aide and Secretary substitutes at $103.50 per day and custodial substitutes at $15.92 per hour. The board also approved retroactive designation of Albina Voris as a substitute teacher/paraprofessional/main office secretary for Sept. 1, 2025–June 30, 2026 and accepted the resignation of paraprofessional Killian Freeborn, effective Dec. 15, 2025.
The board approved hiring Holly DeStefano as a full-time para-professional beginning Dec. 16, 2025 (salary and prorations recorded in board personnel documents) and as a bus aide on route ST7 with an annual stipend of $3,240 to be prorated to start date. The board approved a maternity leave for employee #990 beginning on or about March 5, 2026, with the intent to return in August 2026; the leave includes up to 12 weeks covered by FMLA and NJFLA. The board also approved Lisa Grau as a substitute and retained pianist Chris Henke for concerts at a total of $300.
