Approved items included two substitute hires pending criminal background checks (Rachel Beyer and Klaudia Duplaga), a chaperone payment of $175 for teacher Gabriella Ayers for an extended day on the Fairview Lake YMCA Camp trip, practicum and observation placements for student teachers and interns, a retroactive bus aide assignment for Isabel Ponte (paid at $18/day not to exceed $3,240), and membership dues for Superintendent Danny Papa to the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce ($291).
The board authorized the New Superintendent's Academy mentoring program for Danny Papa at a total district cost of $4,250 ($1,750 academy fees and $2,500 mentoring fee payable upon completion). The board approved an FMLA leave for employee #971 from Oct. 27 to Dec. 1, 2025, and accepted the resignation of Daniel O'Leary effective Oct. 24, 2025.
These personnel motions were approved on roll‑call vote after being presented by the superintendent; the motions carried as recorded in the meeting minutes.
