On Sept. 22 the Stillwater Township Board of Education approved a package of personnel motions covering substitute staffing, para‑professional hires, stipends for student activities and after‑school programming, and Title I-funded behavioral supports.
Motions approved included authorization for substitute teacher/paraprofessional/office secretary Kathleen O'Flahery (pending criminal-history/background check) and a full‑time preschool para‑professional contract for Emily Perez (preschool; prorated base salary with an associates-degree adjustment). The board also approved Emily Perez as a bus aide on route ST6 with an annual stipend of $3,240 prorated to her start date. The roll call on these personnel motions was recorded with the attending board members voting Aye; two members were absent.
The board approved stipends for co-curricular roles (examples: Student Council co-advisors $425 each; Yearbook $850 each; Night Foreman $850) and designated staff for before/after-school clubs and evening family programs, with specific positions funded through Title I, Title IV, and a Climate Grant where noted. A Check in/Check out mentoring program will begin Oct. 1, 2025, with facilitators paid $150 per month (not to exceed $1,350 per year) and a program coordinator stipend of $3,000 to be paid through Title I funds (Account #20-231-200-100).
Other approved personnel items included chaperone assignments for the Fairview Lake YMCA trip (Oct. 16–17, 2025) with district staff listed and a part‑time para‑professional contract for Anne Louise Waitzman at a prorated hourly rate and 27.5 hours/week, pending required documentation. The motions were moved by Mr. DeGroat and seconded by Mrs. Frey; roll call votes recorded attending members as Aye and two absences (Mrs. Kraft, Mr. Franek).
