Board approves field trip, new bus stops, SHIF wellness grant and facility policies

At the Sept. 8 meeting Business Administrator Rene9 Metzgar reported updates for building and grounds, including a delivered PTA shed and attention to 1941 classroom ceilings. Metzgar presented the district's Integrated Pest Management plan, which emphasizes non‑toxic controls, requires trained coordinators for applications and calls for notification and signage 72 hours before and after any application of toxic chemicals.
The board approved a Grade 4 field trip to Kittatinny Regional High School for an Aquatic Safety Program and added two new bus stops for the 2025–26 school year (ST9: 919 County Road 619; ST8: 961 County Road 521). The board also approved July transfers (attachment) and accepted a SHIF Staff Wellness grant award in the amount of $7,600 for 2025–26.
