Board tables preschool admissions policy after parent urges sibling priority

During the public-comment portion of the meeting, resident Kaitlyn Hammerle said she thinks the preschool policy is good but asked the board to add siblings to the priority list for admissions. The board did not take action on that specific change at the meeting; instead members voted to pause adoption to give the Policy Committee time to review suggested revisions.
Policy 5111.1 was presented as part of the policy section and had reached a second-reading stage before the board decided to table consideration. No adoption or formal change to the admissions categories was recorded; the motion to table carries the effect of delaying any change until the revised policy returns to the board.
