Williston approves a slate of Flex PACE incentives for local businesses

Anna Nelson, economic development director, presented eight applications: Cornerpost (truck stop on 85 West bypass) requested a buydown not to exceed $108,000; Bogey's (mini golf next to Williston Water World) $45,000; Johnny's Tavern (purchase of existing business at 24 Main Street) $35,000; Typhoon Properties (addition of five bays at 528 Bean Drive) $48,000; 4th Dimension Surveying (building in Bennet Subdivision) $67,500; Blank Canvas Salon (purchase of building at 423 2nd Avenue East) $42,500; OneCor Services (equipment purchase at 520 Bean Drive) $42,500; and DBat (Stix Investments) offered an in-kind infrastructure match of $108,500 for a location at Williston Square.
City Planner Kent Jarcik confirmed Blank Canvas Salon met parking requirements. The board approved the slate of Flex PACE applications by motion; the vote was 5-0.
Approved buydown amounts and match commitments are recorded in the meeting packet. Implementation steps typically include finalizing agreements and tracking performance and compliance by Economic Development staff before any payments or buydowns are executed.
