Larchmont awards $1.26M contract for Alma Field rehabilitation; Fields for Kids to supply remaining funds

Administration said consulting engineers recommended awarding the contract to DeRosa through AstroTurf Corporation’s Sourcewell cooperative purchasing agreement. The village stated the total project cost as $1,264,255 and said funding is available through grant and gift donations; the board approved the award subject to working out an appropriate disposal plan for the existing turf.
The mayor and administration also told trustees that Fields for Kids has agreed to supply the remaining funding needed in addition to county funds, and the board authorized the village administrator to execute a memorandum of understanding to accept the donation.
