The Board of Trustees approved multiple routine and capital resolutions during the meeting.
Among the items the board approved were funding for two parks pickup trucks (members questioned why the vehicles were not included in an earlier capital budget), authorization to execute a contract for assistance with home-elevation grant applications, acceptance of donations for a community "spectacular" event (Village PBA $500; Richard Leimgruber $500; Orange Bank $200; Artistry Performing Arts $150), and a budget amendment moving $75,000 for stormwater maintenance overtime.
The board also authorized immediate purchase of treated lumber for phase 5 of the docking project, citing state contract pricing and supply concerns: the lumber purchase was listed as $27,175.05 and the total project cost was estimated in the discussion at up to $85,000. All these resolutions were moved, seconded and passed by voice vote during the meeting.
Staff said additional capital budgeting work had been done by department heads but that a formal capital budget had not been adopted earlier in the fiscal year; the board directed staff to continue capital budgeting processes for future years.
