Kevin, the clerk, said the Board of Works requires the February minutes and written findings to form a full record before issuing an opinion on the appeals. "So it's important that they have a full record of these findings so that when they hear the appeals ... they've considered both what the person appealing has said as well as what you have said through your findings and your minutes," Kevin said.
A committee member moved to approve the findings of fact for Petition 2601 (Philponen); the motion was seconded. During discussion Kevin pointed out a typographical error in paragraph 3 of the draft: the municipal code citation was transposed as "section 150.14" and should read "section 150.104." The commission amended the motion to include that correction and put the revised motion to a vote.

Multiple commissioners were recorded voting in the affirmative and at least one member voiced opposition; the Chair announced the motion carried and the findings were approved.
