Planning Commission member Jim Coykendall moved to accept the resolution as presented and to advertise it and schedule a public hearing for the Oct. 1 meeting; Mayor Jerry Huskey seconded the motion and it carried unanimously. The resolution calls for the Planning Commission to hold a public hearing before any final action is taken.
Earlier in the meeting the commission approved the Aug. 6, 2024 meeting minutes after a motion by Mayor Jerry Huskey and a second from Mark Wilson. The commission recorded there was no other business before adjourning at 4:48 p.m.; Mayor Huskey moved to adjourn and Gary Miles seconded.
The motion to advertise the subdivision regulation amendment initiates the public-notice and hearing process required by the commission; the resolution text as presented was accepted for advertisement and public comment at the Oct. 1 meeting. No votes against or abstentions were recorded in the minutes; the record states the motions "carried unanimously."
