Ouachita Parish declares vehicles and equipment surplus and authorizes public auction
Summary
A list of vehicles, tractors, implements and miscellaneous equipment was declared surplus and authorized for sale at public auction; items include multiple trucks (Ford F-150, Freightliners), tractors, an ATV and various radios and lights.
During the Oct. 6 meeting the Jury authorized declaring a range of parish vehicles and equipment as surplus and allowing their sale at public auction.
The list in the minutes includes: a 2014 Ford F-150 (Asset #15912), multiple 1998 Freightliner tandem trucks (OPPW asset numbers listed), a 2001 International chassis with Peterson loader (Asset #9301), a 2008 Volvo L70F loader (Asset #14569), multiple 2016 New Holland tractors and Alamo implements, a 2014 Honda ATV (salvaged title) and numerous non‑asset items including Motorola CB radios, spot lights and other equipment. The Jury approved declaring the listed items surplus and allowing them to be auctioned; the motion passed without opposition.
The minutes list VINs and asset numbers for many items. The subsequent auction process, minimum bids and disposal receipts would follow standard parish surplus procedures and are not included in the minutes.
