During the Oct. 6 meeting the Ouachita Parish Police Jury approved multiple cooperative endeavor agreements with the State of Louisiana for equipment purchases and programmatic work.
Motions passed without opposition to accept a cooperative agreement for the purchase of an E-450 CCTV truck (16-inch camera) and a separate cooperative agreement for a 12-yard dump truck for the Public Works department. The Jury also approved state cooperative funding for maintenance repairs and upgrades at parks around Chenier Lake, and to patch and overlay portions of Standard Reed Road.
Additionally, the Jury approved cooperative agreements with the state to support Ouachita Workforce Development Board youth jobs and workforce training programs. The Jury authorized Lazenby & Associates to prepare a cost estimate for Old Sterlington Road repairs and authorized advertisement for bids on the Eagle Rock Drive drainage/bid project.
Actions were routine acceptance of state cooperative funding and authorization for procurement processes; specific state grant or contract amounts are not recorded in the minutes.
