Library architect Mr. Land told the Police Jury that the planned purchase of main-branch office furniture from the state contract carries an estimated cost of $1,187,472.04. The jury approved the purchase by motion of Michael Thompson, seconded by Lonnie Hudson, and also authorized advertising for bids for furniture not available on the state contract and for condensed storage units.
The jury also presented and approved a change order for the main-branch renovation project after Mr. Land recommended the change order. Funding sources were not detailed in the minutes; the motions passed without opposition.
Next steps: staff will advertise procurement opportunities for non-contract furniture and condensed storage and proceed with the awarded state‑contract purchase as approved.
