Personnel committee approves leaves, promotions, confirmations and compensation package

During the Aug. 4 Personnel Committee meeting (chair Larry Bratton), the committee approved several personnel items for the Fire Department and Public Works.
Actions recorded include approval of sick-leave requests for named employees, acceptance of the retirement of Kurt May effective Aug. 3, 2025, promotion of Bryant Cade David (from Substitute Captain Probationary to Probationary Captain effective 08/04/2025) and confirmations promoting Caleb Hibbard to Permanent Captain and several EMS and firefighter confirmations and promotions. Public Works requested and received approval to promote Andre Harris Jr. to Equipment Operator I and Rickie Croom to Equipment Operator II. The committee also approved the agreed compensation package for Jennifer Johnson. Motions in committee passed without opposition and were ratified by the full Jury.
