Kelsey Coyle, student representative for Palmer High School, reported to the School Committee on Sept. 17 about early‑fall school activities and events. Coyle said students observed a moment of silence for the late Mr. Halloway and noted several planned activities: the first day of school (Aug. 26), a "Beautiful Tomorrow" presentation (Sept. 4), a Washington, D.C., information night (Sept. 9), Alice training and a Dominican trip information night (Sept. 11), a senior bike and car show fundraiser (Sept. 14) and a half day scheduled for Sept. 25. She also reported that fall sports have started.
