School Committee approves Old Mill Pond 2025–2028 plan; members discuss cautious use of AI

During discussion, committee member Joseph Nompleggi asked about references to artificial intelligence in portions of the plan. Superintendent Matthew Francis said the district is "looking at [AI] cautiously as a tool," and offered that Nompleggi had volunteered to consult if needed.
Mr. Matthew Lovell moved to approve the Old Mill Pond plan and Mr. Anthony Braden seconded. The motion passed unanimously, 5–0.
Committee members did not place conditions on the approval; they signaled the administration will continue to vet technological tools and report on implementation details as part of plan rollout and future strategic planning.
