Palmer — Superintendent Matthew Francis presented a State of the District outline to the Palmer School Committee on Oct. 15, noting academic comparisons and areas for improvement.
The presentation listed the district’s key topics for 2025: who the district is, 2025 MCAS achievement level comparisons between Palmer and the state, MCAS subgroup comparisons, Palmer compared with other comparable districts, progress toward improvement targets, and celebrations and areas for improvement.
The committee recognized Isabella Chen as the 2025 MASS Award recipient. Members also welcomed Owen Kupiec-Fox, who joined the committee as a student representative and non-voting member for this and future meetings.
