Katherine said some benches cost about $1,195 each as an example and that anchoring would typically involve concrete fasteners.
The board made a motion to direct Katherine to pursue the PARD grant for plaza benches in a cedar color; the motion was seconded and approved. Katherine reported that the 2026 PARD packet had arrived and noted prior awards and town-match rules; previous park grant awards listed included amounts of about $5,671.17 and $5,987.36 for earlier applications and a town match in the range of $1,496 for one grant.
Next steps: staff will complete a letter of intent and prepare a full PARD application ahead of the February deadline and solicit vendor quotes and installation recommendations for the chosen bench style.
