During its June 9 meeting the Batesburg-Leesville Town Council read and adopted a resolution honoring the Batesburg-Leesville High School baseball team for winning the 2025 Class 2A state championship.
Mayor Bush read the resolution, noting the team’s overall record (24–6–1), district and region championships, and the championship series victory. The resolution singled out head coach Rob Bachnight for 13 seasons of leadership and recognized the coaching staff and players for bringing distinction to the community. After adoption, the council and audience applauded and photographs were taken.
The council adopted the resolution by recorded vote. The resolution will be entered into the town record and copies may be provided to the school and coaching staff.
