Morrison mayor: West King Street utility work not finished; park bids to open Oct. 10

Mayor Sue Anderson told the Board that she had spoken with Kelle Cantrell at the West Warren-Viola Utility District (WWVUD) about the department’s repairs on West King Street and said WWVUD "is not finished" with the work. She said the repairs "may be two years" before completion and noted an exposed pipe by Jean Ann Knudson’s house; Mayor Anderson said she will contact Ms. Cantrell again to follow up.
Alderman Donald Miller reported that the library clock has been repaired and that bids for repairs to Morrison Park will be opened Thursday, Oct. 10. Mayor Anderson said she will check with someone about cleaning out ditches around town because the current contractor has not done work in a while.
Alderman Donald Miller also said the lights at the Morrison Fire Hall need to be replaced with LEDs and asked whether the County could pay some toward them; Mayor Anderson said she will check.
No ordinances were on the agenda. The Board received these routine maintenance and infrastructure updates during the Oct. 7 meeting at Morrison Town Hall.
