At the Feb. 24 meeting the Pioneer Valley Planning Commission approved two sets of regional performance targets for calendar year 2026.
PVPC staff explained that a prior meeting had contained a procedural misstatement; the correct action for the NO was a straightforward approval of the statewide PM1 performance targets for the Pioneer Valley. "The performance targets do not need to be released for public review. We just need an approval vote by the NO," staff said. The commission moved, seconded and approved the statewide PM1 targets by roll call.
Staff then summarized PBTA (PVTA) targets developed for fixed-route and paratransit service; some earlier outreach and a presentation by PBTA staff had informed the targets. Members approved the PBTA targets in a separate roll call vote.
Minutes from the Jan. 27 meeting were approved earlier in the agenda, and staff noted the approvals align the region with statewide target-setting timelines for TIP and performance-based planning.
