Council member Melinda Wills moved to adopt the resolution; Denice Perry seconded. The roll-call vote was YEAS — Olivia Allbritton, Deborah Barton, Denice Perry, Melinda Wills and Mayor Terry Burgett; NAYS — None. The motion carried.
The action ensures the town has named staff to operate polling locations for the scheduled Aug. 26 election. The council approved the resolution as part of a brief special meeting called to address time-sensitive election matters.
