Mayor Terry Burgett, who chaired the special meeting at 11:30 a.m. at Nauvoo Town Hall, told the council the water department was without an operator and that the meeting had been called to discuss contracting with Robinson and Sons Construction to cover needed repairs and maintenance in the interim. Clerk Nicole Garner served as recording secretary for the session.
Council member Christian Dill moved to allow the water department to contract with Robinson and Sons for any needed work until a new operator could be hired; Olivia Allbritton seconded the motion. On a roll-call vote, Allbritton, Dill, Denice Perry and Mayor Terry Burgett voted yes; no council member voted no. Deborah Barton and Melinda Wills were absent for the session.
Shortly after the authorization, Dill moved to adjourn; Allbritton seconded. The council voted in favor and adjourned at 11:34 a.m.
