Nauvoo council awards pest-control contract, approves financials and two holiday closures

At its Oct. 21 meeting the Nauvoo Town Council approved routine administrative business and a new municipal pest-control agreement.
Council member Deb Barton moved and the council approved the September financial reports and minutes for Sept. 12, 16 and 26. Barton also presented vendor quotes for townwide pest control covering the town hall, fire station, community center and concession stand. The council approved contracting with Northwest Pest Control at an initial cost of $210 and $185 for quarterly service.
The council voted to observe Dec. 26 and Jan. 2 as town holidays. Mayor Terry Burgett distributed proposed revisions to the employee handbook with the revisions highlighted and said the council would vote on the handbook at the next regular meeting; no handbook vote occurred at this session.
All recorded motions on administrative items passed by unanimous roll call.
