Waldwick Board elects Daniel Marro president and Troy Seifert vice president at Jan. 6 reorganization meeting

John Griffin, the school business administrator and board secretary, called the Waldwick Board of Education reorganization and regular meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. on Jan. 6, 2025, and announced the certified Nov. 5, 2024 election results: Christine Figliuolo 3,419 votes and Troy Seifert 3,000 votes. Griffin administered the oaths of office to Figliuolo and Seifert.
During the reorganization proceedings Trustee Mary Beth Nappi nominated Daniel Marro for board president; Trustee Christine Figliuolo seconded the nomination. The board approved the motion by roll-call vote and Marro assumed the chair.
Trustee Christine Figliuolo nominated Troy Seifert for vice president. The board approved the nomination by roll-call vote. The meeting recorded trustees present: Christine Figliuolo, Andrew Frey, Julie Mangler, Mary Beth Nappi, Troy Seifert, Daniel Marro and Amy Weiner. Superintendent Dr. Paul Casarico and Board Secretary John Griffin were listed as also present.
The reorganization items concluded and the board proceeded to its agenda of organizational resolutions and routine business.
