Lebanon awards museum-repair and municipal building contracts, approves DPW equipment purchase

By resolution, the committee awarded Van Nest Construction a contract for exterior trim replacement at the Lebanon Township Museum (project quote cited in the meeting at $7,663), and Prodente Custom Painting LLC a contract for painting fascia and soffits at the museum ($5,800). Committee members described damaged soffits that were allowing birds and other animals into the building and said the work includes carpentry followed by power-washing and finishing paint.
The committee also approved a contract to Access Commercial to replace municipal building entry doors ($13,858.23). Members discussed a removable center mullion to allow a larger opening and insulated sidelights with argon fill; a committee member said the mullion is "keyed so that if we need to pull anything...you can just take it off, open both doors, and you got a huge opening." The resolutions passed by roll call.
Separately, the Committee approved a request from the Department of Public Works to purchase a portable air compressor from NAPA Auto Parts for $3,300 so crews can provide "air on the road." Warren Gabriel was identified during the meeting as the DPW supervisor who requested the purchase; the clerk recorded affirmative votes on the motion to buy the unit.
The work is to be scheduled and coordinated with municipal staff; start dates and contractor mobilization were not provided during the meeting.
