The Lebanon Township Committee on Tuesday night accepted the resignation of accounts receivable/payable clerk Joanne Fasinelli and approved the part-time appointment of Diane Loudenback.
Chair (speaker labeled "Chair") introduced Resolution 1272024, asking the committee to accept Fasinelli’s resignation "with regrets" and noting Fasinelli had worked in the accounts role for about 14 years. "Joanne's done a wonderful job working as our accounts receivable payable clerk," the Chair said, and added that Fasinelli will be going to Mansfield full time.
The committee approved the resolution by roll call. Committee members called during roll call — listed in the meeting minutes as Mister Adakowski, Mister Wojcick, Mister Wunder and Mister McKenzie — each voted yes, and the Chair recorded a yes vote, resulting in a unanimous approval on the acceptance of the resignation.
Immediately afterward the committee considered Resolution 1282024 to hire and appoint Diane Loudenback as a part-time accounts payable clerk, with an effective start date of Aug. 9, 2024. The Chair said there would be an overlap so Fasinelli could train Loudenback before her resignation takes effect. The resolution was moved, seconded and approved by roll call by the same membership.
The meeting began with a brief public-comment period, which the committee opened and closed after noting no members of the public were present, and the committee first entered an executive session authorized under Resolution 1262024 to discuss personnel matters. The committee reconvened to regular session at 7:34 p.m. and then took the personnel votes.
Next procedural steps: the minutes and official personnel records should reflect the resignation and the part-time hire; the transcript records a discrepancy on the resignation effective date (the Chair referenced August 31 while another speaker said August 30), which the committee should clarify in its personnel paperwork.
The committee adjourned following the votes.
