Lebanon Township swears in officer Sean McNerney after committee approves hire

The mayor led McNerney in the oath; McNerney repeated his name and the oath on the record: “I, Sean McNerney, do solemnly swear that I will support the Constitution of the United States… and that I will faithfully and impartially perform all the duties of police officer in the township of Lebanon,” McNerney said during the swearing‑in.
An official introducing McNerney described his background and training. "He has a total of 8 and a half years of law‑enforcement experience," said the presenter (speaker 4), noting detective work, firearms and crime‑scene training that the township said will help mentor younger officers.
Committee members congratulated McNerney and welcomed him aboard. The hiring motion passed on roll call. The committee did not indicate any further personnel actions at the meeting.
The committee moved on to other agenda items after the ceremony; no additional votes regarding McNerney were recorded in public session.
