WALDWICK, N.J. — At its Feb. 24, 2025 meeting the Waldwick Board of Education approved the Jan. 27, 2025 minutes and a multi-item consent agenda and discussed school safety and curriculum matters.
Trustee Julie Mangler moved to approve the Jan. 27 minutes; Trustee Mary Beth Nappi seconded. The board’s roll-call vote recorded all five members who were present as voting yes; two trustees were recorded as absent (Andrew Frey and Vice President Troy Seifert). Trustee Mangler then offered a consent agenda covering Administration items 45-A-1 through 45-A-22, Finance items 45-F-1 through 45-F-5 and Personnel items 45-P-1 through 45-P-12. Trustee Christine Figliuolo seconded and the consent agenda was approved by roll call, unanimous among members present.
President Daniel Marro reported that the Safety Committee met with the mayor and other stakeholders and “spoke about possibly putting officers in the schools.” The meeting record does not include a formal proposal, timeline, funding details or a vote on the idea; it was reported as a committee discussion.
