President Daniel Marro, Sr. told the Waldwick Board of Education that the district’s construction work is “winding down” and that the board should plan a public recognition and a timeline for final completion.
Marro proposed installing a commemorative plaque and suggested holding a public open house, perhaps in early October, to mark the project’s completion. He also asked that the Finance and Buildings & Grounds committees meet to explore additional revenue sources after the State reduced district funding over the last two years.
Marro mentioned possible installation of electronic signs in front of the Middle/High School as an item for future consideration and asked that the Construction Manager attend the August meeting to brief trustees on the referendum status and completion schedule. No formal motion or vote on these topics was taken at the July 15 meeting.
