Waldwick superintendent reports successful summer school, 11 new hires; staff return Sept. 3

Superintendent Dr. Paul Casarico told the Waldwick Board of Education on Aug. 19 that the district held successful summer school programs in July and has completed hiring for the coming year.
Casarico said the district is welcoming 11 new staff members to fill vacancies created by retirements and resignations and to staff a few new positions. He said administrators—Dr. Elias, Ms. Porter and Mrs. Alcoser—assisted with interviewing, screening and recommending candidates.
The superintendent said new training for staff will take place later in the week, staff return Sept. 3, and the first day of school for students is Sept. 4. He thanked principals, administrators and custodial staff for their work preparing buildings and classrooms for the new year.
