The Reinbeck City Council on March 2 approved a resolution to set procedures and dates for the Center Street Water Main & Street Reconstruction Project.
Councilmember Wambold described the project as work that will lower certain water mains, replace curb and gutter, install storm sewer intakes and resurface the street with asphalt between Cedar Street and School Street. To move the project forward, the council approved Resolution No. 2026-08R setting the bid opening for March 26, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. and scheduling a public hearing on the plans, specifications, form of contract and estimate of cost for April 6, 2026 at 5:30 p.m. Wambold moved; Trepp seconded; roll call was unanimous.
Next steps: the city will publish bid documents and accept bids for the project prior to the March 26 opening; a public hearing on April 6 will allow the council to consider final award and contract terms.
