Warren Hills Regional Board elects Alfred Coscia president, Amy Kemp vice president

The Warren Hills Regional Board of Education elected Alfred Coscia as board president and Amy Kemp as vice president at its Jan. 7 reorganization meeting.

The nominations were made from the floor — Molly Fraumeni nominated Coscia for president and Lisa Marshall nominated Kemp for vice president — and the board approved both officers by roll call, with all members present voting in favor and Thomas Dufner recorded as absent. After the vote, Coscia assumed the chair.

The board also approved a set of reorganization motions, including the 2025 meeting calendar with Executive Session moved to 7:00 p.m. (public session at 7:00 p.m. per the amended schedule) and appointments of delegates: Lisa Marshall as delegate to the New Jersey School Boards Association, Jean Hansen as alternate delegate, and Paula Merrill as delegate to the Warren County School Boards Association.

Board Secretary and Business Administrator Donnamarie Palmiere opened the meeting, administered the oath of office to newly elected and re-elected members, and read the Code of Ethics for School Board Members as required by state rules.

The board announced that adequate notice of the meeting had been posted and distributed to local newspapers and municipal clerks as required under the Open Public Meetings Act.

The meeting proceeded with routine reorganization business and the board moved on to personnel, policy and finance items later in the agenda.
