Candice Grella of 3208 Main Street said she has proposed a 10-by-10 native and carnivorous plant garden for the public and that she would plant and maintain it at no cost to the city. Mayor Suggs said the idea has promise but requires additional planning; Councilman Carroll D. Padgett, Jr., noted the originally proposed site is not city property and that making changes to downtown parking would involve the South Carolina Department of Transportation.
Todd Harrelson (PO Box 365) complained that his and other property owners’ property had been damaged during a city sewer project. He said Administrator Neighbours had previously assured him repairs would be made and said he wants the repairs completed sooner rather than later.
