Local McDonald’s franchisees donate $10,000 for inclusive playground; council issues Breast Cancer Awareness proclamation

The council recognized the family-owned franchisees and noted the donation will support playground accessibility.
Mayor Burns and council presented a proclamation for Breast Cancer Awareness Month to Renee Pollard. Pollard said, "Gloucester County has the highest cancer rate in the State," and the mayor encouraged residents to participate in Wear Pink Day on Friday, Oct. 18.
No formal action was taken on the presentations; they were entered into the record under presentations. The donation will be handled by the Blackbird Foundation according to its fundraising and project timeline.
