Deputy Clerk Ms. Moore read a set of consent resolutions (R208-2024 through R224-2024) that the council approved en bloc by a single roll-call vote. The items included extending the third-quarter tax due date (R208-2024); tax cancellations for two totally disabled veterans (R209-2024 and R210-2024); authorization for an online auction of municipal property (R211-2024); multiple releases of maintenance and performance guarantees tied to projects at Kennedy University Hospital and commercial sites (R212–R214, R216); a change order for Bells Lake Road improvements (R215-2024); adoption of an affordability assistance manual (R220-2024); adoption of a prototypical service agreement (R221-2024); retraction of an RFP request for foreclosure counsel (R222-2024); approval of a corrective action plan for the 2023 audit (R223-2024); and Resolution R224-2024 authorizing settlement of potential liability related to the Pure Earth Recycling Superfund site.
Council also approved R217-2024, a one-year extension of the township's prior resolution of support for a Class 5 cannabis retail facility application for Green Vine, LLC. The council voted unanimously on the consent slate; recorded roll-call votes for these items show Mr. Yerkes, Mr. Bennett, Mr. Brown, Mr. DellaPia and Mr. Del Borrello voting yes.
Separately read and adopted was R218-2024, a resolution requesting South Jersey Transportation reduce tolls at Exit 41 on the Atlantic City Expressway during Route 42 construction to encourage motorists to use alternate routes; Mr. Brown explained the request before the unanimous vote.
The resolutions approved cover administrative housekeeping, project closeouts and a legal settlement; the meeting record does not include detailed financial terms for the Pure Earth Recycling settlement or the auction proceeds. Staff noted that auction details are posted on the JJ Kane website.
