Antoinette Sisco Williamson, chair of the Owens Cross Roads Planning Commission, called the meeting to order at 6:01 p.m. on Jan. 12, 2026, in the Owens Cross Roads courtroom at 9032 Highway 431 S. The commission approved the minutes from its Nov. 10, 2025 meeting by roll-call vote.
The motion to approve the Nov. 10 minutes was moved by Commissioner Deborah Buskirk and seconded by Commissioner Kenny Mitchem. Commissioners Buskirk, Tony Craig, Tim Gaines, Chair Antoinette Sisco Williamson, Yvonne Meier and Mitchem voted yea; Blake Burns, Elizabeth Craig and Jason Denenny were recorded as absent. The motion carried.
Under Old Business, Commissioner Yvonne Meier asked about landscaping for the sports complex and the storage units; the transcript records the question but does not record a response or any follow-up direction from the commission. Under New Business the commission noted that a representative for a proposed K‑5 school on Hamer Road had been scheduled to attend but did not appear.
