At its Feb. 9 meeting, the Loris City Council approved two recorded motions.
1) Approval of Jan. 5, 2026 minutes — Motion by Councilwoman Kelli D. Gerald; seconded by Councilman Carroll D. Padgett Jr.; Mayor Michael E. Suggs and all council members voted in favor. Outcome: passed.
2) Resolution 01-26 congratulating the 2025 Loris Lions football team — Motion by Councilman Lewis C. Hardee Jr.; seconded by Councilwoman Kelli D. Gerald; Mayor Suggs and all council members voted in favor. Outcome: passed. The resolution was presented to Head Coach Greg Mance; Principal Jimmy McCullough, Assistant Principal Eric Caputo, and Athletic Director Brandon Day spoke after accepting the resolution.
The council adjourned at 7:02 p.m. following a motion by Councilwoman Joan S. Gause and a second by Councilwoman Andrea L. Coleman; that motion also passed unanimously.
