Warren Hills board adopts revised policies, affirms HIB finding and approves field trips

The Warren Hills Regional Board of Education on Nov. 12 approved several policy and program items recommended by the Education & Policy Committee.
On a unanimous roll-call vote, the board approved the second reading of multiple policy and regulation revisions for inclusion in the district policy manual, including Regulation 5310 (Health Services), Policy & Regulation 5570 (Sportsmanship), Policy 6630 (Athletic Fund), Policy 6660 (Student Activity Fund), Policy 8420 (Emergency & Crisis Situations) and Policy 9140 (Citizens Advisory Committees) (abolished). The motion was made by Fred Coscia and seconded by Lisa Marshall.
The board also affirmed the administrative decision regarding HIB (harassment, intimidation and bullying) cases: MS case 2024-2025-001 was affirmed; no HS HIB incidents were recorded for the period.
Finally the board approved a broad set of field trips under Policy 2340, including (but not limited to) the Big 10 College Wrestling match, visits to St. Luke's University Health Network Warren Campus, WHRHS Marching Band travel, the WHRMS 8th grade trip to Dorney Park, multiple US FIRST robotics events and the National Archery Competition in Louisville, Ky. Several trips list transportation costs and/or registration fees where applicable.
