The Reinbeck City Council on May 4 cancelled a tax-increment-financing (TIF) re‑bate for a property at 101 Progress Drive and approved multiple routine financial and administrative actions.
Councilmember Johnson moved to cancel the TIF re‑bate because the property had changed ownership; the motion carried by roll call vote 5–0. The council also approved Resolution #2026-13R to transfer funds to pay upcoming obligations (roll-call vote 5–0) and Resolution #2026-14R establishing fees for mobile food vending units (roll-call vote 5–0).
In addition, the council approved two Certificates of Lien for unpaid utility accounts to be filed with the County Treasurer and instructed staff to correct shutoff procedures and assess charges to the property owners. The clerk was directed to file the liens with the county. The council accepted Tina Lyon’s resignation from the Library Board effective May 11, 2026 because she is moving out of state, and approved placing three "No Parking" signs on the north side of School Street between Broad and Center.
These actions were approved as routine business during the meeting’s motions and roll-call votes. The meeting’s Consent Agenda included bills to be paid totaling $46,376.97; the minutes include a detailed listing of vendors and fund allocations.
