Board members had no substantive questions and moved to approve the strategic plan and the school renewal plans; the motions were seconded and each carried by voice vote. The presenter said she would submit the signed plan to the state Department of Education.
The approvals were procedural: no amendments or substantive policy changes were made to the goals and staff stated the plan retains the existing five‑year goals for an additional year as allowed by the waiver.
Next steps: the district chair and superintendent will sign and submit the strategic plan to the state as required; staff will continue to align school‑level renewal plans to district priorities and report back on implementation progress.
