Williamsburg County recognizes Early College graduates earning associate degrees

Mr. Hilton, the district’s director of special programs and school counseling services, presented the Early College program and called members of the Class of 2026 forward for recognition. He explained the program allows eligible high school students to earn a high school diploma plus up to two years of college credit or an associate degree, and thanked Williamsburg Community College and USC GEAR UP for academic and financial support.
"The students' success is our success," Hilton said as the board and audience applauded. Several students were named and recognized onstage; the board and administration invited trustees to take photographs with students and congratulated families.
Earlier in the meeting, Miss Palmer of Flex Learning Academy invited board members and the public to the academy’s end-of-year ceremony, saying, "If you are in the area on Friday at around 10:00 please join us as we honor our graduates and their families." Board members thanked Palmer for the invitation.
