The Village treasurer reported account balances of General $94,922.08; Water $8,848.51; Sewer $3,423.35; and Community Center $1,300.00. The Keno report for the June 24 drawing showed gross proceeds of $537,057.72, a payout rate of 87.25%, unclaimed wins of $284.08, a village share of $30,847.20 and an operator share of $37,594.04.
Maintenance personnel Blackledge asked the board to include several purchases in the upcoming budget: a replacement mower quoted at $16,000; smart locks for village buildings quoted at $11,000; and barricades quoted at $5,600 (total requested $32,600). The board agreed to rent a grapple attachment for the bobcat to pick up storm tree debris and reached consensus to haul the trees to the south well property. The board also agreed to hire Jake Baker to remove a branch hanging in the right-of-way on West Denton.
Trustee John Juricek moved and Trustee Amanda Fangmeier seconded approval of Claims List A for $65,596.12, Claims List B for $4,412.34 and June payroll for $9,865.05; the motion carried. The minutes record an agreement to begin discussions with the Village of Garland about an interlocal agreement for water operator services. The board reviewed a letter from Miller & Associates regarding a retirement review; no action was taken on that item at the meeting.
The meeting was declared adjourned at 7:40 p.m. Clerk-Treasurer Charlotte Te Brink certified the minutes as a true and correct copy in the record.
