Denton board approves $85,668.64 in Claims A and $60,000 Keno-to-General transfer; chair abstains

At the July 8 meeting the Village of Denton Board of Trustees approved claims and a large interfund transfer.
Trustee John Juricek moved to approve Claims A in the amount of $85,668.64, Claims B $5,992.88 and June payroll of $9,865.05, and to transfer $60,000 from the Keno Fund to the General Fund. Trustee Doug Rosekrans seconded the motion. The vote was recorded as Aye — John Juricek, Trenton Wheatley, Amanda Fangmeier and Doug Rosekrans; Abstain — Chair Joe Hobelman. The motion carried.
The minutes do not provide a reason for Hobelman’s abstention. The board also received the treasurer’s balance report and the Keno gross-proceeds summary for May.
