Denton board approves resolution to sell 12 surplus hay bales

The Denton Board of Trustees adopted Resolution No. 24-12-1 on Dec. 2, 2024, declaring 12 large round brome hay bales surplus and authorizing their sale by sealed bid.
The resolution directs the village clerk to publish notice of the sale in three prominent village locations and in the Lincoln Journal Star for at least seven days before the Jan. 6, 2025 sealed-bid sale. The board’s resolution states the total fair market value of the hay is determined to be less than $65 and reserves the right to reject any and all bids and set terms and conditions.
Trustees carried the motion to approve the resolution on a motion by Trustee Amanda Fangmeier and seconded by Trustee Doug Rosekrans. The resolution text is included in the minutes and establishes the sale process and notice requirements.
