Ingham County board approves several funding notices, appointments and claims payment

At its Feb. 10 meeting the Ingham County Board of Commissioners set a partial consent agenda and approved multiple motions and roll-call items.

Key outcomes: • Agenda item 10: The board moved and passed a resolution to publish a notice of intent to declare intent to reimburse for a Potter Park Zoo feline and primate building project. (Moved by Commissioner Cahill; passed by roll call.) • Agenda item 21: The board approved a similar publication and intent-to-reimburse resolution for the AME County Youth Center Project; the item passed by roll call. • Appointments: Commissioner Mayville was appointed vice chair of the roadways ad hoc committee; Trisha Gehring was appointed to the jury board. Both were approved by voice vote. • Claims: Acting committee chair reported claims in the amount of $26,165,964.30; the board voted to allow payment.

Several items were taken off consent for individual roll-call votes (items 10 and 21) and were approved; the board noted disclosures where required. The meeting proceeded to discuss and vote on other agenda items including a funding match for an Rx Kids Lansing expansion.
