The Marbor County Board of Education returned from an executive session on May 5 and approved three certified recommendations presented to the board.
Mr. Driggers moved that "we approve the three certified recommendations that were presented to us by Dr. Tiller." The motion was seconded and approved by raised hands; the public transcript does not record the substance of the certified recommendations.
The board also approved minutes from its April 7 and April 28 meetings and voted on a large packet of policy readings, approving a second reading and then moving many policies to final reading. Mr. Benjamin presented the finance packet (revenue and March/April expenditures and a fund-balance estimate) and offered to answer questions from board members.
The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn that carried on a voice/hand vote.
