Planning commission approves Livwell/Linwell Terrace street names for new apartment project

The planning commission on April 22 unanimously approved the street-name application for the apartment portion of the Livwell/Linwell Terrace project. Staff presented a list of suggested names and said the Government Review Committee had added three additional options; commissioners approved seven names including LiveWell, Wellness, Wellspring, Memorial, Sentinel, Gleeson and Envision.
Staff noted Beaufort County and emergency services review addressing duplication concerns and said unused names can be reserved by applicants until the names are recorded. The approval came without conditions; commissioners asked staff to circulate new name lists to the commission earlier in the process in future meetings.
The vote was procedural: the commission moved to approve, a second was provided, and the motion passed unanimously.
